I'm sorry if this question has been done to death, but I really need to know. I had been planing to buy this on the PS2, but I've heard about the slow down issues.

Those that have the import can you tell me how bad it is? I have a PC that can probably run it, but I would rather play on my PS2.

I've heard they're not too bad... But I'm going for PC.

Its bad if you have a group of six, most people tended to stick with a group of four people, insted.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure a bit of the lag issues have been fixed.

Ah, I forgot to list my PC specs: Sempron 3000+ 1.6 ghz, 1 gig ram, ATI X700pro 256. Any idea how this would run PSU?

PC Requirements

Operating System: Windows 2000 (SP4 or later)/ XP (SP2 or later)
Processor: P4 1.6 GHz or higher
Memory: Minimum 256MB RAM
Video: higher than Geforce4 series / ATI RADEON 8500
Disk Space: minimum 3.0GB (10GB required for product)
Connectivity: Online Broadband recommended
Control Options: Keyboard or Game Pad

Your Processor barely meets the minimum requirements but it should run.

AMD does their processor specs differently. Sempron 3000+ 1.6 GhZ is equivelent for an Intel 3 Ghz.

If anything, wait out till the western PSU-versions come out and wait for the review of the PS 2/PC-people to find out, if there is a slow down issue as well.

I'm running Intel Celeron 3.2 Ghz, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon Express 200 256 MB Card and the game runs fine enough. A tiny bit lag with 4+ people in party and very very slight in city but I don't have it on the absolute lowest settings yet considering I can't translate which are the right settings, lol. Yesterday I ordered another 512 MB of RAM for two day delivery and I am all set for US release ;P.

I'm just going to bite the bullet and get the PS2 version, and from my understading I can download the PC version and use my PS2 info. Anyone know if you can do this?

Well, I was trying to illustrate that your settings are almost exact to mine except you have 512 more RAM and it runs ok for me. I have no idea about the PS2 thing though, iono. I doubt they would let you use the same info for both games. I would assume you would need two separate keys for two separate games but I could be wrong. From what I've read the PS2 game is supposed to have issues of it's own? Anyone want to confirm or deny this?

Your PC will work fine at running it but yes from what i have heard you can use your PC ID on your ps2 aswell.

Edit: this is right from Segas PSU FAQ
Q.What is a Game ID? Is it interchangeable with a Gamer Tag?(2-2)

A.The Game ID is for PC and PS2 users. You can grab one from PlaySega.com, and use it to play on both the PC and PS2.

Hmmm, I think I misunderstood. Your character data should be interuseable, but if you were hoping to only buy one and use that same cd key for the other, that's what I was doubting ;P.

It is not certain that they will release the US version online for download like the JP version is but it seems very likely.
