Even though some got character aquired, the server isn't up yet, becuase I assme they are giving us the dl now and bring the server up sometime after it's been out for a while. That is what I pridict.

Think sega underestimated the power of xbox live friends list on game like this, we hammered them , lets hope they , allow use on , lol, i have friends list that over 75 people long and , had 35 them on all downloading game and they had ther friends , now lets hope can make this game like deserves be best xbox live game for few months or longer , but hard show and word a month this game if can not get on , sucks , had downloaded now for over hr still no luck .

Completing the tutorial (supposedly) gives you a technique, at least thats what the full version should do.

If you're having trouble, don't hit Retry when you get a disconnection error. Quit out to the title screen and then try again. For some reason the chances of getting past the first check go way up.

This sucks... I got in, made my character...and was in the lobby for a whole 15 min goofing around..and then it boots me..and I can't get back in just like before. These servers suck... I really hope the service isn't this poor in the final game.

Well, I would say, it looks like this stress test was nice and necessary. Much better than waiting and having this stuff happen after release day. Maybe we wont get quite the same level of issues the Japanese players had to go through.

Not now. The devs issued a server interruption. They're working on it now. The discussion about it is taking place on the main Phantasy Star Site's message board. So all of us will have to wait a little until they put them back up.

i was able to connect at about 6:30 am eastern time. I made my character "Lassic" and did the tutorial but then I quit and when I was trying to check that it saved my character it would not let me connect anymore. But at least I know it was working

The game IS up now.. I've logged in 3 times in a row without any problems.

I didn't have to jam the server and it worked each time on the first try.

If you can't get in, I'd blame your ISP or router.

The server is up and has a shit load of people on.. and you should be able to get in on the first try. I just tried again for 4 logins in a row on the first try. =(!

Maybe you should go into your network settings for your console then do the XBox Live test... what's your NAT level at?

I know earlier this week I had a shit load of a time trying to get into some DOA games because my NAT level was "Strict". I've got it now on "Open" and XBL's performance is fucking excellent.

Maybe PSU is incompatible if your NAT level is on "Strict"? I'd try it, but I'm lazy, and you can just post your level here so I can know.

My NAT is set to Open and all my firewalls are off (just in case). Still the same issue of unable to connect to server. I deleted and am now redownloading PSU. I'll update you here if it works or not. If not, I'm done trying. Hopefully they'll fix it before the four days are up.

What's the deal with the message on the download scroll screen about "only a certain number of players will be allowed on at any one time." Then it says to go to the official site for more info.

Official site/forums has no info on exact number limits.
