Guess the server got hammered and broke down already, must be all the Japanese players with their 1Gbit connections who got the beta first...
First time I tried to log on, I got as far as "Acquiring Character Information", now it just says unable to connect to server...

...Eh? A one gigabit connection wouldn't be common enough to be a plausible issue...

Besides, the actual servers may not actually be up yet, for all we know. Then again, it is equally possible that the servers are already flushed with traffic...

um, gigabit connection would be 1,024 mbit/s.. aka fast. (an obvious exaggeration though..)

Dude, 1Gbit is blazingly fast. At max speeds, they would have been able to download the beta within 10 seconds (of course the XBox 360 harddisk isn't fast enough for this, but just to put things into perspective).
A standard DSL line at 4Mbit would need at least 40 minutes.

Yeah, yeah, I worded what I meant to say wrongly. Half-asleep at the moment (no coffee :/), but I edited it.

Kent, 1Gbit+ connections are quite common in Japan, they are dirt cheap over there.

Lets face it, the whole thing will be a mess.

Ok i actually got past the announcement now.... The lobby server still hates me though. The stupid fart noise it makes when it can't connect isn't helping..

We're also talking about the beta of an Xbox 360 game, one that happens to already be available on two other platforms.

Woah i completely refreshed my browser to find this page. I just ran into the xbox room just to start the download. It seems to be pretty quick with such a high demand for it. 10%. After 3 years or more of reading these forums i have decided to finally register. Although it seemed i had to use a friends email. Mine was used, but i never recived it even after submitting an error.

I've had the demo on my 360 for nearly 2 hours and I get a maintenance message when I try to connect http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Yes, as soon as someone logs out you click before anyone else to login. Reminds me of Adventure Quest...

Since we currently have two XBox 360 Server Login Problem topics, I am going to lock this one. Continue posting in this thread:
