Ayone else wonder why they didn't make a port of this game for the original x-box?

Because Microsoft already stopped supporting it.

Never would of figured that gamecube would outlive xbox (even by a thread). Hell must of froze over and bought an expansion hockey team or something....

Or because its really Segas choice which consoles they port it to. Thats why there is no Gamecube port.

Actually I'm referring to the consoles themselves, not ports

Yeah, believe you me, the xbox is dead.

It is kinda sad, but the 360 is kinda just the next step in the xbox's evolution, so I like to think it still outlives the GC. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Apparently Microsoft's contracts for the CPU and GPU ran out and they decided not to renew (since Intel and NVIDIA would likely ask for more money). MS basically doesn't have the right to make anymore Xboxes.

I was responding to the original post not yours. although a consoles lifespan has very little to do with its success. Console and game sales are what matters not the length in time the console had on the market before it had a predecessor.

X360 was in development very soon after the Xbox came out. The original xbox was only made as a stepping stone, and to build hype for there next console.
