I am a PSO vet. Imported V2 and bought X Box and GC version of PSO... and I currently play World of Warcraft. I havent played lately because I really odnt have time and it is quite boring nowaways. I am trying to decide if I should buy PSU or not... and which console. What makes it different than PSO? I enjoyed PSO's easy gameplay and interactive fighting style, but after a while it got stiff. What makes PSU have any longevity? Also, I am on somewhat of a Bdget, but if it is worth it I will splurge on the XBox. Just lookin for some advice. Thanks

Well I wont go into details about some of the other stuff...its been posted before, but I will give you this link to show you the difference: http://psupedia.org/index.php?title=Differences

That said, I suggest getting it for PC since you already got WoW and your system should run it smoothly. Just get a controller and you are set.

If i were you i'd get another opinion besides this one...Seeing as its a PSU board, it may have some bias..

Quoted for truth. Besides it all comes down to yourself anyway, we can't decide for you.

Well then it is either voice chat or typing with PS2 keyboard controller. Make your choice :3

If you dont have a PC but have an XBOX360 you're best bet its probable the XBOX360 version, theres slowdown on the PS2 version.... but from what I've seen its not bad like PSOGC seabed 2 was.

I am pleasantly surprised with the voice chat. No voice chat in lobbies is the best thing ever.

(just to help you decide)

xbox360 is so worth it. The voice chat is soooo nice....It makes it so fun interacting with ppl without having to slowdown and type. And if you liked pso you will looooove psu. The fighting has had a huge ovehaul its so much more intense, wonderful game thats all I have to say.

Actually... unless thats a super easy zone for that persons level, it looks like they are jsut hack and slashing without any sense of danger...not my type of game.

One of the main reasons i couldnt get into WOW was because of how ugly it is...yeah Im a materialistic whore.I have a computer that can easily run WOW but that doesnt really mean much...WOW isnt exactly easy on the eyes...with that said,if you do chose PC.Buy the 360 controller...Im currently playing the PSU BETA on 360 and I think the controls work perfectly.Oh and it also works like a charm for PSOBB n_n

Yes, it was an extremely easy zone for that player. I meant you to focus more on how cool the photon arts look. I mean... damn!

Thats funny..after playing in a party of 6 in a room full with enemies and attacking them in slow motion..that to me is lag..I wonder if theyll make counter measures for the lag problems...I mean it IS a BETA test after all..

I have an Intel iMac so I plan on running it under XP (via Bootcamp). Thank goodness for Bootcamp.

I'm getting for the PS2. I just feel there might be a larger play-base with PC/PS2 being on combined servers. With a larger player base, I think the longevity of the game will be better. Also, come income tax time, I will be getting a new mac with the intel processor. I'll be able to continue playing my PS2 characters on the PC since it is cross-platform. I like the thought that I can access the game from either computer or PS2.

I have not played PSU myself, but having looked through a ton of videos, the fightning system reminds of my Dynasty Warriors.. it seems so free and unrestrictive.. you can change the direction of your attack instead of just keep hacking straight forward (so if you launch a massive PA and the first monster dies, you can spin around and end the PA on the second victim), you can strafe, monsters goes flying into the air..and I like the DW system^^

well basically what PSU is... is a more action packed PSO with better graphics and btw it has a lot of danger in it and realistic to when a critical hits you, you go flying. lol i rember i was playing as my beast playing the mission Unsafe Passage C and a delsaban sneaked a critical on me and it threw me against the wall lol not much damage done though.

EDIT i ment my cast not beast. beast still are awsome!
