Those things are scary. I thought the first one I faced was a mini boss, but then wandered into another room and saw another one. Is it just me or are those guys terrifying?
I want one as a pet.

They're like C-Bringers, only tougher...
I wonder if they drop any parts... ^__^

They're also very stupid creatures. If you encounter one in an area that has multiple levels, just go up on a ledge and shoot it with a gun. Of course, they're a major pain if you face them on one plain, or worse, a narrow passageway.

Yeah, I've discovered that. Sadly, the first two I found were on flat surfaces, so I had to handle them the good old fashioned way--RUN!

yes, i agree. Delbiters are bastards.

Actually, at this point I'm having a hard time deciding if I hate Delbiters or Sinows more. On the other hand, I'm still relatively low level, so I expect they'll get easier as I power up more.

do u kno what would be a kool pet? a recon! haha its so cute when they saw u up and drop bombs on u!

Yeah, recons would be cool pets, but you'd have to store the box somewhere, otherwise they'd just blow up. That'd be a bit of a pain--and I bet the boxes would blow fuses left and right.

They should make PSO plushies... I can see it now:
FOnewearl, RAcaseal, Rappy, Recon, Delbiter... ^__^
They drop Devil/Battle for Redria, and Madam's Umbrella for Viridia. Too bad my friend took that umbrella...

Oooh, in V-hard? Gonna have to get try and get one now.

Yeah, both V-hard. Good luck trying to find those... the number of Delbiter appearances in Seabed is very limited...

You know what I think is worse? Deldepths. Sure, the Delbiters are tough, but they're easy to avoid if going 1 on 1. Deldepths, however, are like worse versions of Pofouillies. The turn into little disk, running over you as the chase aorund, then pop out and let ONE attack hit them before folding back up. It's downright annoying.
But I would hate Delbiters more than Sinows. Unless the Sinows attack in groups.
Question: Why would a Delbiter be carrying an umbrella?

O.o I haven't seen one of these yet. It is weird but I am drawn toward Episode 1 for some reason...
I'm at Mines on Vhard and haven't beaten gone past the first Seabed level.

The invisible Sinows are really annoying until you figure out how to spot them. And if a Sinow Zoa freezes you, that could spell the end, especially if two are attacking at once.
Delbiters cause lots of damage, but you can at least cast Resta as you get up and keep doing ittie bittie bits of damage at a time until it's dead.
Plus Delbiters are easier to take care of. My Sinows need constant maintenance, but I just take my Delbiter to a local elementary school or park once a day and he finds his own food.

I used to have some of the new Sinows, but I can't find them anymore...unlike my old Beat, which is sometimes everywhere I look. Stupid thing, just wants attention.
I've decided I dislike the Sinow Zoa more, and Zele most. SUre, you CAN spot them if you know how--and I figured it out quick--but when they teleport one on each side of you, freeze you, and pummel you to death, it really doesn't help to know where they are.

I've yet to see Zele use the frost attack or to fight more than one at a time... therefore, I dislike Zoa the most... but that could change as I play Episode II more often.
Needless to say, I think Seabed makes the Ruins look like a walk in the park... and Olga Flow makes Dark Falz seem like a pushover.

The seabed rocks. It's so much fun, and enemies that make me say "damn I want one" are always good. Any dissatisfaction I felt about the first two areas evaporated once I got to the new stuff...I love this game. So who's waiting eagerly for Episode III? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

There's still plenty of fun left in Episodes I and II for me... I'll be waiting for Episode III when I get bored of the first two.
In the meantime, there aren't enough games online where people are playing Episode II. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I assume you're saying that Sinows are harder cause you can't "see" them half the time they hop and teleport around. Well, here's a neat trick: if the ground you're standing on is water or reflective, look for its reflection. It'll help you spot them easily. Also, when they teleport, run FORWARD. They usually teleport to behind (or sometimes side of) you.
About Del Biter: There isn't much you can do to him, unless you can trick him with different elevation. If you DO meet him on same plane, be prepare to waste lots of mates and/or TP on Resta. And some basic "101" strategy (that most people already know) kinda helps: try freezing him.

Yep. Yet another glitch in the game...
If something is invisible, why would you be able to see its reflection? Maybe if you saw "holes" in the water, where they're standing, that would be more feasible.

Delbiters are one of the few things that can scare a big scary robot like Bo ... I don't even wanna think about fighting them in Ult from what Parn was telling me. And its not a glitch that you can see Sinows in the water, that HAS to be intentional or Sega would have corrected it for the US ver. Why do you think there are so many reflective floors in the Seabed in the first place?
Kayumi

I'd noticed that about the Sinows...the only real problem they give me is when they freeze me anyway. The reflection was a nice touch on Sega's part. And they DO leave holes in the water, if they're standing in it. Or walking, anyway.
They're just pain-in-the-arse to beat. Or were, last time I faced them. I've been straight through Hard mode of Episode I since then, though, so I imagine they'll be less difficult now.

I love the fact that you can see Sinow's in reflections... it's a very cool touch. And don't bother arguing the logic or physics behind seeing something 'inivisible' in a reflection. Not unless you also plan to argue that Techniques are not in violation of any laws of physics.
Also, when they teleport, right before they attack, you'll see a little blue or red shimmering in the air... that's their location. Also, even though targetting reticles won't show up, if their name appears in the 'target' box, it's quite possible that you've targetted them. That makes fighting them in long thin hallways a joke (run to one side, and just keep shooting).
Kayumi

In long narrow hallways you can spot the reflections anyway, so they're a joke even without that. Until they freeze you.

In case it rains silly! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Hmmm... Yea, Sinows can be a major pain. Their invisibility, is no big deal. The damage they can do, is more or less what I worry about. And the teleport, as aformentioned, can be easily put to your advantage. Run forwards, turn around, and swing, you'll nail them right in the back. As for the frost attack they use, well, they hardly ever use it, unless you're being ganged up on. Just use the simple process of elimination. Even if it takes longer... Do you want to be alive at the end of the battle... Or just do alot of damage and die?

Hmm. I never noticed, thanks for the info.
You guys might like it, but I don't, so think whatever you want.
The reason I liked Sinow Blue so much on v2 was because they went invisible. That was the only monster that actually made me say "wow"... Until I noticed they were still detectable on the radar.
I had just hoped that the new Sinow-type enemy would go completely invisible. Oh well.

*shiver* That would drive many of us insane with fear of the Seabed and no one would play there cause it'd be so unfair considering the NUMBER of the damn things we fight down there..
DelBiters... I can't really say much about them... Just a C-Bringer, with a different blind spot. Mainly, try to stay near the rear of the DelBiter, take a few swings, and move. Never try to use the blind spot or the oppisite of it, that you use for the C-Bringer. It does "NOT" work. Remember however, this is from a hunters perspective. And if you're being mass attacked, throw out a freeze, and choose the target(s) that need to be elminated, so you can have a better advantage against the Del Biter. As you know, it'd be best to take out an easier target, that's just annoying, rather then trying to take out the Del Biter, considering, he has alot of friggin' hit points. And that wonderful C-Bringers shot in the back as you walk away, isn't to fun either... So, make it all count.

They're actually a lot less scary when one levels up. I faced some on normal at level 46 yesterday and just blasted at them face to face...

Think Ult, Kayumi. From what Parn has told me Ult ep2, especially Seabed, is pure torture for melee classes like Bo, even high lv ones.
Kayumi
11-14-2002, 11:16 AM
That's true. I still haven't dared do Ep II on anything but normal--I'll probably open up Hard tonight after class, if I don't wind up doing some more rare hunts in the Ep I Very Hard mode. And back on the days of the Dreamcast, I never had anything but version 1, and never bothered getting farther than Hard mode--happens when one's character keeps getting wiped every few weeks...don't ask...

I've fought those Delbiters on V. Hard... they're not too bad at around level 70. They still take off like half my life when they hit me... but if you move a lot, they're not too tough. Of course, this was online, so I had buddies to help take the hits with me... but offline they are weaker in general anyway.
