PSU: Goldmembership to use headset? Silver to play PSU onlin

does anyone know if you need goldmembership to use the headset on 360? because I saw on a site (reliable) that even though you need goldmembership to download the Beta, you don't need goldmembership to play PSU online when it's released because you pay Sega with your account, who pays Microsoft.

anyone who can confirm any of this?

You only need Silver to play online. I don't know about voice chat, as I don't have an Xbox 360.

hmm because if you only need silver to play then I'm certainly not getting gold, but if you can't use the headset without gold on the 360 then I have to get it again.
