If your game hasn't frozen or reset on its own so far, you're a winner!

Since Thursday i have frozen once everyday i played.It can be after 30 minutes,2 hours....everytime it's been inside a game,twice with 3 other players and once in a lock game i made as a test.I notice the other players are frozen while i can still move,then i have the disconnect message at the bottom,just like when you quit normally but as soon as i press start,the screen goes black and my Gamecube freezes,i have to shut it down...i also lose all unequipped items.I am using BB with PPPoE,i just have the straight set-up into my external modem.I never freeze using my computer and i rarely froze like this after close to 1000 hours on the DC with a dial-up with the same company.Something is wrong with the Adapter and GC PSO,i'm sure it's not my provider.

I had a few problems with the BBA when I first set it up... I would get disconnected after a short time. But I changed my setup a bit (I added a switch in between me and the other hubs), and it works perfectly now. Haven't had any problems at all in the past week or two, and I've played a lot (I'm around level 55 now).

I've been hearing a lot of trouble with PPPoE, though... perhaps the PPPoE support is buggy. You can always get yourself a router and let the router handle the PPPoE and configure your PSO for DHCP. In fact, if you're willing and able to set up a router on a computer (and get a second NIC), you can even do this with a Modem connection... of course, you'll need to switch to the BBA instead of the Modem Adapter.

Cable modem to wireless router, wireless bridge to BBA.

I get my signal through the floor, and I haven't been FSOD'd, RSOD'd, or disconnected so far :P

Riel, unfortunately, it is a bug in the software... I suffered the same problem during my first week on the import. There's no way to fix it. Your only option is to purchase a router and have the router handle login details to your ISP with Ethernet cables to PC and GCN, or run Internet Connection Sharing on your PC and run a crossover cable from a NIC to your GameCube.

About 32 or so hours on BBA... And not a single problem yet.

80 or so hours and not a thing.

But.. whenever I fight Falz, after the darvan things when the Statue is breaking, the game always freezes for a second. o.o;

Offtopic: Am I the only one that gets MASSIVE slow down when fighting Ep 2 bosses? God, x_x;

Thank you, finally someone that knows what's going on. Could you possibly assist me in stopping my constant FSOD's? I use Bellsouth FastAccess DSL that uses that PPPoE thing and I have gotten FSOD'd 4 times in the past day. o.O;;

I know jack about routers/hubs/"NIC" but I'm not computer illiterate. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out with this either by email, AIM or whatever. Let me know, I'm dying here. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I've been playing well over 30 hours (probably already close to 100, forgot to check and my friend is playing right now) and haven't had any *SoD or disconnection problems whatsoever. I'm probably jinxing myself by saying that, but I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

What is it? I hear my friend's game freezes too, and his DSL disconnects on the Cube. I connect via the BBA and never had any problems? Am I a winner?

(Adds a vote to the poll)

I just got FSOD'ed the very first (and second) time. I know that this problem is common for people with DSL and 56k and people without router/hubs. What's strange is that I'm using Cable Modem and a router and it still froze. I guess no one is immune to getting FSOD'ed. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Wheee, I just got a FSOD at the login screen. It made a strange noise while it was frozen. Usually if I unplug the cat5 cable from the cube, it auto-disconnects me, but this time it didn't. So I had to turn off my cube. I started back up, and it gave me the message like my inventory was going to be initialized, but when I started up, I still had everything.
