That Glow-y thing next to my name

Hey, I'm playing the beta on X360, and I was wondering what exactly the little glow-y thing that's next to my name means, if anything. It sits right next to my name, hovering above my head, and I've seen other players with this thing, too, but nobody knows what it is.

If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it, thanks!

that's your luck. it determines 4 things:
1. Drop rate of all items
2. Drop rate of rares
3. Making weapons
4. don't remember

Once every 24 hours, some guys in japan determines which race and which gender i getting it... there are four kind of stats

1. Nothing special
2. x1 luck (about 3 stars blinking next to your name)
3. x2 luck (about 10 stars)
4. x3 luck (an orange glow (same glow as rares))
