Which are you going to play first, the single player or the

Just curious how many of you are going to play the single player mode first, vs. playing the online mode first.

I'm gonna play story mode first, unless they do some kind of special thing for the first bunches of people on.

it'll mean i won't have to deal with the typical initial server stuff if there is any.

If I can get online on the first day and have no disconnection problems, then i'll play online. However, if there are a lot of problems, then story mode

I plan on mainly playing the Single player mode first, but will certainly get my toon made up for the online version and will get in there some each day getting to know other players. It's going to be hard not to want to jump straight into the online mode though but I think as xzeekzx brought up it would really be nice to learn the mechanics first so I don't look like the total newb that I am to this game.

Single player first, gonna play thru it completely then go online. Why ya ask? Simple really, I dont expect the servers to be stabalized for at least 1 week so I may as well play offline mode till everything is settled.

Why? Do you think the PC/PS2 servers will be more stable?

PC would be even worse off actually -_- it will have more players then xbox 360.

Im PC also if your wondering. And why do I think that? Hehehe, its simple logic, everytime a launch happens theirs a high chance the company didnt expect the amount of players they are recieving and thus ends up having alot of server problems and failures in which they get fixed completely in 1-3 weeks.

I wont even bother to try to log online the first day, ima wait for the second day, check forums on PSOW and the PSU official boards, see if theirs many angry posts on their then continue to play offline, if things are actually running smooth ill screw around online for awhile, then return to offline play.

Sides my gf may not have her new comp built by then, may be a few days after release so may as well play offline till shes ready. Not to mention ill have to take some time figuring out getting my xbox 360 controller to work using xbcd drivers.

Thus the beauty of PSU, at least if the servers crash you still can play offline. Take that WoW. lol.

Ummm... Actualy no, you can't. Even offline, you have to be connected to the internet. I think it's to prevent cheating.

Anyway, I'll probalby jump online first to create my characters and play around for a bit, then i'll switch to offline to learn the game.

Darn, I was hoping that the offline would be just that offline. Would have been nice for those storm nights when my internet connection drops.

If its the case it makes me wonder how people hacked and cheated in the story/extra mode on the JP Version then.

Regardless, I knew full well of this beforehand, if I cant even play story mode with the servers congested or failing I always got FF12 on the 31st and some other games to mess with XD.

Both! I wanted to just play single-player first, but my friends say they will play both. You know how it is, I can't just let them level their online character for weeks before I have a chance to party up with them so. So it looks like I'll play both 50/50 each day!
