hey, does anyone know if PSU will be able to run on dial up with PS2? i know PC requires broadband, but for right now, i can only afford my 8$ a month dial up.

i played FFXI (and might continue, depending on if i can play PSU or not), so i have the old fat model.

I'm not to sure what connect options PSU/ps2 will have , I also use to play FFXI over dial up with my fat ps2 via AOL ... lol

Anyway what i'm not to sure about is whether PSU has like a connection check that checks if your on highspeed or not to let you to play , like RE:outbreak

Even so theres ways around that :

I think you should get the PC version less hassle, you would only have to worry about graphical lag hope this helps ;d

i would get it for PC if i could, but i've read that PC requires constant internet connection (broadband), so i didn't even think to bother with it.

As long as you keep your dial up connection running in the backgorund you'l be fine (PC ver) The constant iternet connection is to deter cheating & piracy offline , but it really doesnt have to do much about connection speeds.

wait...so on PC version, you just need to always be online while playing, or while the compy is turned on?

Well you log on and start your game then once your in the field you can go offline if you want , but for multiplayer you need to have a connection runing in the background of course ;p

whew, not what i thought it meant then http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif well, so long as it can run on dial-up (even if it's laggy and slow), then i'll probably get it for PC. PC games are usually a lot better than PS2 games when it comes to graphics and slowdown, and i hear PS2 version has terrible slowdown issues

It's been stated by many players that dial-up does work. Does it work well? Chances are, no, you will experience some laggage. Does it work for both PC and PS2? Not quite sure, but it works for atleast one of them, I myself never really found the clarifying answer to that question.

Go PM Xenokai. He's like the master of playing games that can't be played on 56k. Shit he plays Xbox360 on 56k http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif
