Human or newman ranger?!

I can't decide. I used to be a foMar back in PSO so i kind of want to keep using that. But humans dont have that high of a magic stat and i kind of want a back-up when not using attacks and PAs.
But the newman doesn't have a high attack stat. And the guns dont have much of an attack stat either. Also i know there's gonna be alot of newman players.
Which should i pick.

I want to play for myself but i don't want to get frustrated in the process. I guess i'll just try both and see.

If you are going to end up a Guntecher, Newman. As a Fortegunner? Human. Figunner? Probably human, but either is fine.

I'd suggest Newman personally, the acc is really quite nice.

Played a bit as a ranger, and was quite decent, and used a bow extensively on my force, constantly hit mobs for very nice damage, not quite sure how a human would hold up though.

my last response was a bit rushed because I was heading out the door. But to explain it a bit, I actually think newman make the 2nd best class for Ranger. Its a very different style of ranger when compared to cast, but that doesn't mean its bad.

They have the 2nd highest accuracy (cast being highest). With rifles especially, the ATP difference is not very noticable. Its only truly noticable with mechguns and shotguns. But the advantage you do get is the fact that newmans have the highest evasion and highest tech defence. As a ranger, you'll generally be in the back, and these two defensive stats makes a very noticable difference. Especially when suplemented with high evasion armor. Truly, at higher levels, the only place with the low ATP comes in to play is when fighting big high defence monsters.

Human Figunner, sides im sure theirs units and equips that raise accuracy where as a newman would probably get anything that would increase their atp.

Newmans have higher ATA while Humans have higher ATP. As a pure ranger, I would choose Newman for the higher ATA, but the expert classes is a slightly different story as EnixBelmont has pointed out.
