ps2 network data

is PSU gonna come with the network data on it to set up my internet for it, if not what low budget game has it on there, cause i cant find the cd to get it, sorry thre was another topic similar but it got drownd in other pointless topics

i beleive socom 1 2 and 3 have the internet configuration on them and all ar best sellers so they should only be $20

The PS2 has a network setup disk that comes with the network adapter or system (depending on which verison of the PS2 you have). That should do the job.

If PSU, for some bizarre reason, doesn't use those settings, then I would expect it to auto-detect a broadband modem plugged straight into it, or if you plug it into your LAN, then setting the gateway to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 should do the job (these are default gateway addresses for LANs).

OK how does that network Configuration setup work through the game? like does it check your memory card or what?

yea like heaven said i think its plug and play and will auto do it.

it leaves a network-file on your memcard and stores all info an online game needs about your connection / provider / homeLAN on it.
you could alternatively try and get a network disk from sony directly.

alright so if i found someone and borrowed socom 1 2 or 3 that would work.. i might try that.. use one or2 other ways to get the info then just try it with PSU itself.. i think im all set now.

You should try calling sony and see what they say to do. THey might be able to help.

Well heres whats left on my list of stuff to get to prep for PSU
Make sure dad made the 2 ethernet cables
Get the Switch
Order the USB Keyboard
Hookup the Switch and Cables
Handle the Network Data Config Situation
Make 2-3 Gallons of Coffee
Pick up PSU on the 24th Lock doors and play PSU from 8 Oclock PM EST to 9-11 Oclock AM(depends when i work that morning http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)
Ill also be recording data on all the stuff i do in those 13-15 hours.

alreadt got the router and everything hooked up already bought the keyboard just need to find out the network data thing, and get like 12 cans of an certain energy drink, and 6 2liters of vault and ill be able to stay up a week

You can rent socom at blockbuster or hollywood and save the internet settings,then return it.

Yeah, you should be able to as long as your connection can handle it.

I would be VERY suprised if PSU doesn't have the setup app built in. I've owned several online games for ps2 and played them all online at one point or another, and ALL of them had the options for the initial config if necessary.
