its a dual-layer DVD-rom, meaning it will be around 7-8 GB - that download will take a while, i guess, but unless you have some dual-layer-capabe drive you'll have to rely on sonicteam's downoad offer.
btw, this offer is only offered for the japanese audience so far (since the game's been released only there, up to now), and you need to buy a copy anyway.

No, DVD5 (single) drives will not read DVD9 (dual).

Depending on when you actually bought a DVDrom, DVD5s are for the most part extinct.

And it's 5 gigs. So yeah, it's gonna be a hell of a download if you don't have a DVD drive. WHICH IF YOUR COMP DOES NOT HAVE A DVD DRIVE, IT PROBABLY CAN'T PLAY PSU ANYWAY.

Lol, DVD5s cant read DVD9s. Im sitting next to an old dell right now, with about 5 others in the building with DVD5 drives, they havent and wont read dual layer.

Well they must be some really old ass drives, because any DVD drive made since the turn of the millennium have been able to read dual layers...

for the download you can use program like Get Right, which let you segment downloads (like downloading one file in five parts all at the same time) to make it go faster

where do you get the dl from?

It's only 5ish GBs. Not 7-8. And the PS2 version is not dual layered. The PC might be, though.

Here is the scoop on DVD players. All DVD drives can read a dual layer DVD ROM disk. However, depending on the drive, it may not read media that was burned on +/- R whether it be dual layer or single layer.
