Hello there!

I just had an idea...
A friend of mine is going to beat me with a (insert nasty object) for playing PSU before he does, since he can't afford to buy a copy until next month.

I've read that to play, you don't need a CD in your computer. So, technicly, couldn't we both install the game and play the free trial? That way we;d get to play together, and I'd get to keep all of my limbs.

no, you get a cd-key with them, which will most likely get registered on the servers. and you need to register to them - even for offline mode.

Even if that is possible, you forgot that you'd need 2 different Serial #s for the game.

You could, but then you'd be sharing an account. Once the trial ends, he'd be freeloading off of your subsciption.

You would?
See, this is what happens when you play console games all your life.
You don't know squat.
Ah well, it was a nice idea while it lasted. Looks like I'll be playing PSU on pain of losing a leg.
Guess I better practise hopping.

O_o jawsome sounds a little extreme for me. I wanna be a good friend but I don't want "Dun dun....dun dun....dun dun dun dundundududnudunununnunun AAARUGHJAGUH!" playing everytime I go over to say hi.

But yeah...maybe I will do that.

Doesn't matter if you could have it installed on both PC's, practically all online games prevent any two instances of one account being logged on at any given time.

OR, there's always the slim chance come release day, you could beg people on psow who bought two versions of the game (pc and ps2 or one of them and xbox versions) for their extra code http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Edit: spelling

or you could just restart with him when he gets his copy and share the treasures your old character earned with him

He could play when you weren't playing, and vice-versa, if you shared an account. It might work well if you plan your sleeping arrangements accordingly, lol. Usually (in other MMO's) it will kick you off the game if someone logs into your account while you are actually playing.

O'course, if the most important thing to you is playing together cooperatively, then yer kinda outta luck. PSU is kinda pricey too... We had to preorder 3 games, pretty much $150.

They better have it on the date of release or there will be hell to pay~!

You could just buy him a copy when you buy yours, and then have him pay you back when he gets the money he was going to use to buy his own copy later then you.

Then you could play together and err problem solved? : )

Simple, let him install your copy, that way he can at least play offline till he gets a copy. this way you suffer only minor injuries.

This easily makes the most sense.

I question the details of this plan, considering CD-Keys and the PC version's requirements of always being online, but maybe you'll get lucky.
