Just my opinion, but we reeeeeeeeeeally don't need another topic for 360 users to flame PC/PS2 users and vice versa.

Annoying people exist everywhere. You can't escape them.

Online play will always have your hostile folks in groves.

There's no reason to estimate it, so just know that they're going to be there no matter what.

Pick your poison. If you don't want people screaming at you, go with the version without the standard voice chat, or learn to use the mic's muting functions and blacklisting.

With your question changed, keyboard chat removes the problem of pronouncing those obscure names and makes it easier to mail/message players. I didn't find the voice chat messaging in game during beta myself, don't know if its supported.

However, it can be a problem during a heated fight, so you'll want to have your shortcuts(for phrases) set in advance.

This is actualy a subject that we, as a group, are unable to discuss rationaly at this time. I would however like to point out that we, as a race, have an overabundance of the mindless. That being said, it seems statisticaly impropable that you will be able to find an idiot free environment in any form.

Better question, but again, this will probably only spark another console port war.

If you like voice chat, play 360. It will be used, that is all anyone can really say. Not to the extent that it's used, just that it will be used. It just comes down to whether you like that or not.

About the keyboard issue: the typing system works very similar to that of PSO, except with a new Party Chat function. You can still only put a very low maximum of characters in a message.

Oh yeah... are they REALLY going back to the old PSO standards on text instead of using PSO:BB's?

Take a step forward in name length but take a step back in typed message length? From what little I've seen in videos, it looks like they are.

I've encountered some annoying people with mics, but the majority that use it seem cool. I also have a keyboard on the side if I need to use it. But I would rather deal with an annoying person through typing than hearing them.

I've been having problems hearing people. It's not my mic, since even when removed I only hear static.

The level cap will intially be 50, than gradually rise to 100.
