I wont be creating a ton of posts and go Post Happy on everyone but this is something my friend figured out the other day and I thought I'd pass it along in case there were others out there like me who didn't know...

Strafing....Hold down the Left Button for XBOX360 players. You can move side to side http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Ok, now for the Beneficial part....You can Lock On! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif to the enemies and inbetween hits just circle them Menacingly, Dodging their Attacks, and Cutting them to Shreds! HEHE >:)

...I Love It...

Yeah, it saved February's ass many times at lower levels. When you get the full game experiment with strafing. It'll become your best friend.

Strafing makes aiming so much easier, shame you cannot lock on with guns, also he's a gem: When using an offhand Handgun, You do not have to switch to your offhand weapon (Handgun) to shoot it in first person! Simply go first person and it auto switches to your handgun! OMG

Strafing is awesome, especially when trying to level up in a party of higher level characters http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Just strafe the whole area and you're almost guaranteed to hit everything before the higher characters take them out, getting you your EXP http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Of course, you need higher characters/people who allow you time to hit stuff http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Strafing in PSU takes me back to the days of playing Tomb Raider, Mega Man Legends and True Crime: Streets of LA

You could strafe back in JP beta, didn't know it was this special. Yeah it's really useful. With my laggy PC the only way to hit monsters honestly.

Strafing is definitely very nice to have.

Especially if you really like your one-handed weapons, you can strafe by and peg all the enemies, making sure you get EXP for all of them (and inflicting some status effects, while you're at it), then go in and kill them all in melee.

At first, I kind of wished Guns and Techniques could lock-onto enemies, but after getting some experience with it, locking on with those would just make it harder to aim them accurately (especially techniques, with their relatively slow projectiles). Not to mention, you don't need to be able to lock onto an enemy and kite them just out of melee range, if you want to not get into melee for some reason - but then again, you can also make the enemy attack, move out of the way, then do a full combo from the side, which ends up being pretty effective and efficient.

I never realised you could lock on, only sidestep and such. Nice.

It's funny though 9/10 when iI see ppl playing they never seem to strafe. And honestly it really can save lives. But to each his/her own i guess.

Well, it could be because of the lag. If you're play the 360 version, than it's no wonder you can't see them doing it, you can barely see them doing a god damn thing! O_O

... Nope, I'd still rather stand still far away from any harm and blast faces off with powerful S-rank rifles. Something about being a sniper while everyone is running around, swarming around enemies just appeals to me.
