Hey, I've been trying to look for the race stat comparison charts (I believe they showed up to level 60 and 90 for offline). I did a search but to no avail, unfortunately. Does anyone happen to have a link to this, or know where I can find it please? (Not on PSUpedia)

Edit: For all you number crunchers, scroll down!

Yeah I was curious about that, I don't understand why this game makes Females have lower ATA. It's a mystery http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Because girls are slower in the head, obviously.

Well also, females have higher DEF. That's unlike every RPG I've ever played, and generally the opposite of sexist thought in regards to videogames (Male tending to have higher DEF due to the natural biology of having a larger physical build, or so I would assume). In any case, that's what they are, so no use complaining.

It's not really sexist, it's just attempting to make a somewhat-logical statistical difference between the two.

More masculine natural build would mean you can hit harder (ATP) and keep a gun steady better with its kickback (ATA), as well as having a harder, more masculine body that's able to take more abuse (HP - to an extent). Whereas, having a more slender frame could be seen as affecting agility (EVP), whereas having the, uh... Endurance required to be able to withstand the pain of certain things men can't do, would be a testament to pain threshold (DFP, STA - though the argument could work for HP, as well, but that brings up balance issues).

Really, they're not trying to be 'sexist,' per se, just trying to make things balanced to the point of not seeming outlandishly nonsensical. TP and MST for example, being mental stats, that doesn't necessarily make them more suited to female characters, however, due to male characters seeming more physically fit, these stats are increased on female characters, for the sake of balance.

Its also just another way of adding variety. They could have made females stronger for all i care but at least everyone wont be the same.

Errr, I wasn't saying they where sexist, quite the opposite actually >.> I'm just saying that for the most part certain attributes (i.e. character stats) in video games reflect male dominance in strength and physical abilites where as females tend to excel in agility and dexterous ability. A perfect example is in PSO where HUcast had higher ATP/DEF in comparison with HUcaseal which had higher ATA/EVA, and so on. It's definately clear as you pointed out that, the stats are pretty much divided purely in the interest of balance and less on realism one might say. In the end the difference is minimal at 5%, so it's not even worth mentioning unless your a huge powergamer.

ya, that 5% is made even lower after equipment is added in. It may also mean that you can use a certain weapon earlier or later. The pictures Leman posted are for offline mode and are far different from online stats. (notice the huge ata numbers)

Not to pimp my own thread, but well ya... I am... it has more reliable information for online use.

Many studies have shown woman have a higher degree of pain tolerance, which makes sense considering childbirth is no walk in the park.
