18.10.06 - Sega plant in dem Rollenspiel Phantasy Star Universe (Xbox 360, PS2) online demnächst 'Halloween Events' abzuhalten, ähnlich wie es in Phantasy Star Online damals der Fall war: So werden einige Orte, Charaktere und die Lobby für kurze Zeit im Halloween-Design zu sehen sein.

translation for the english people: Sega is planning to upload halloween events in Phantasy Star Universe like in Phantasy Star Online ago. Places, characters and the lobby will be in halloween-design for a short time!

To answer Flame's question: Rappies. Those big baby chick-looking things made famous by PSO.

Known for chirping about, attacking in packs, and playing possum when thier health got depleted.
After a bit (or if you walk away, so they think everything is safe, faster), they'll get up and run off at high speed. Plugging them when they run pretty much guarrantees they drop something.

The Japanese are Flexible. They pretty much celebrate every holiday they can get their hands on. Even if they more or less don't believe in the source of that holiday. They just celebrate it because it looks like a good surface idea, and they get to do fun festive stuff, during that time.

Well you can already buy the Halloween theme ticket in the JP version.

I saw the room design before, but not from that angle. Thanks for the pic. I like how that jack-o-wall, behind the bookshelf, looks like it's ready to eat something. And that vampire picture. Stone Wall textures, Ghost and bat wall paper. I like it.

I wonder if they'll have a room motif designed sort of like a circus festival. That would be very keen for my first character, since that one has a backstory as some kind of circus performer. Normally one wouldn't expect so many of them that they work to every character, but I think that motif is generic enough that Sonic Team would do it. (Not to mention, how many times Sonic Team has used a Circus or Amusement Park motif in their Sonic games).

It'll probably be a rare drop if we go by old PSO holiday stuff. Since there are merchandise changing (via time or stuff being bought) shops in PSU there is the possibility that the decoration shop may have an extremely limited supply at varying times throughout the days of the event.

It does suck that Europe misses out on the first Halloween event... at least you'll have Christmas themes to look forward to. And a lot of us here will be playing for awhile anyways, heh.

I'm really interested in seeing how they handle decorations more than anything. The stuff they had on PSO was pretty mild.

Yea, the PSO Stuff was pretty mild. None of the Holiday Events were all that special, alright but could've done better. New Years 2001 was alright, but coulda done without the Space Oddessy Theme lol.

Last time I played PSO on Xbox it was after Easter, and it was STILL Christmas on PSO Xbox. That's why I ended up cancelling my HL.

I do look forward to seeing what the holidays bring to PSU though. It would be nice to see them bring back some special items or equips from PSO as special holiday drops. Of course, I'd like to see some new things, too. ^_^

This will be intersting, but it will ruin the mood, since we won't know what the normal game actually looks like until February (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, all lasting way more than one day for some inexplicable reason)... not really BAD, I suppose, but mildly annoying.
