Yes. You have to connect to the servers even to play offline mode.

Yes, even to play the offline version you have to be connected.

No its not that you have to connect to a server for the game to start, its that the Gamegaurd anti cheat system REQUIRES an internet connection and if gamegaurd doesnt start PSU wont. I think thats why anyway.

I do have a broadband connection its just down right now and wont be up till november. So I'll just get it and wait till november to play it.
