are game cards cd-roms but just called cards instead, or do u download them?

They act like credit cards I think. You just pay for the card in cash and use the numbers on it with the game you bought it for. This lets you play when you have money, and not have to worry about being charged on a credit card when you can't afford it and being over drawn or something worse. I think.

And no, I don't know if PSU will use those.
