While I was reading someone's thread about making events for PSOW members on PSU, I got to thinking...

Hmm, it would be cool if we had a special day of the week we PSOW memebers can get together and do missions and stuff. Set up a room, have it password protected so only PSOW members to get in.

We would so dominate and have loads of fun doing it.

We could scedual it on a certain day, like every Friday for example or something...

Just a thought

And I know PC/PS2 Users cannot play with 360 users but we can always work something out with that.

Good idea or bad?

I love the idea except it would mean hated users of the community would be able to gain acess.

Great idea, but I'd think the limit on how many people can be in a locked room would make it difficult to carry out.

it sounds similar to PSOW having it's own designated ship on PSOBB, where all of the PSOW members could have a place to go, but i'd be up for the idea for setting up a designated place on PSU as well.

Interesting idea, but wouldn't that kind of be redundant? We're deciding on a server to play on, and making an EVENT for a server we play on? We already PLAY on the server, we need to tell people to go there again? Just me nit-picking. =]

Yeah, Im getting you referring to my post http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

In my post, many people over looked or didnt see the fact that I was also trying to get us united on one Server and block.
I failed >< And that wasnt the first time I failed ><

I wonder if sega even recognize us as the largest american/european Phansaty Star fanbase webite.

Thats sounds like a good idea but it might be difficult to manage it with so many people..

Well what if a certain amount of people make the rooms on one block and the PSOW members can come in, do a couple missions leave and go to another PSOW room as desired.

Just thinking.

actually with the new room features we could all meet there, but the question is do rooms have restrictions on how many people are allowed in your room?

I brought back one of my old topics so that we might be able to get a common server at least so we can do this. I like the idea btw

I'm 90% certain I read that there's a restriction, but I might have mistaken it for something else.

My Room is available both online and offline. Online, it is a character-bound instance that can contain up to six players at a time.

Oh no, I'm not talking about rooms, I am talking about a hand full of people creating a mission(Room) for PSOW memebers. Since you can only play with 6 people and since we are devided into what consol we are using I'm sure we can figure a plan to leave no one behind.

I whole-heartedly agree with the OP.

Setting up a Universe and Planet for the PSOW community to yack it up in isn't a hard thing to do, and would be quite fun.

You can only have like 6 people in your room at once. I'm sure that PSOW will claim a Universe or something. Maybe all PSOW users can be PM'd a new PW weekly for PSOW titled games.

We can take over a universe and always meet there? Is that what you're saying? Sounds good to me!

I was thinking of creating a pso world guild , but i would have to ask the website admins first for affilation.

I'm all for this, but we should decide on a Universe etc. soon otherwise it'll be chaos when the game comes out, with people having to start new characters because they started on the wrong World and the like.

I was planning just on playing with certain people from the forums to avoid the "no so social" ones http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif but if theres a meeting place I'll join in on it, just post the spot and I'll be there.

Its simple then, someone pick a universe to go to and pick and planet and then we'll set up parties and guilds and the like.

We would claim a universe. No question about it. I would be the best Universe ever ftw!

Rizen tried to pick 15 but nobody responded to him.

It's funny how difficult it is for a large group to pick something arbitrarily. As the universe number is completely irrelevant and Rizen had spoken out with a number I say we follow suit and go to Universe 15.

I vote to second this motion, a number is a number, this one happens to be composite and positive.

CypherErebus

Universe 15 it is then. I could care less the number of the universe as long as there is one.

What you're talking about is like a get-together we can put together so PSO W members can just meet each other...yeah, that sounds alright, but there are WAY too many of us to just have one room, so it'll be like we set a date/time and a place to meet. Than, we just all go off in our seperate ways once the get-together is done XD

Garroway

PS2/PC and Xbox 360 will be on different Universe 15's, that is correct.

So different consoles can't play together? Like I can't play with my friend on PC if I have a 360?

It's about which servers each console connects to. The PC and PS2 US/EU servers are connected to eachother, you can play with anyone playing the PC and PS2 version that are in these countries.

Due to Microsoft having requirements that must be met in order for them to allow a video game to be playable on Xbox Live, I.E. voice chat and international connectivity, the Xbox 360 servers will not be connected to the US/EU PC/PS2 servers, however the Xbox 360 servers will be connected with the US, EU, and JP servers.

To sum it up, Xbox 360 servers are seperated from the PC/PS2 servers, so you cannot play with anyone using Xbox 360 if you're using PC or PS2.

Before debating on a Universe to meet on, maybe we should wait and see what the PSO-W crew want to do.

I'm more inclined to think it'd be better for the game to ship first before we decide on a block. If the first 20 blocks end up being packed to the brim on release day, that'd spoil things pretty quick. It's worth noting that the first few universe blocks, as well as blocks that end in 0 or 5 usually have more people, mostly because people prefer numbers like 10, 25, 30, etc. over numbers like 14, 16, 37, etc.

My suggestion is to pick one of the later blocks on the listing on release day, since it's more inclined to NOT be filled up all the time.
