The only thing I could think of when I saw the gun segment of the Human Male was "I wonder what the code for infinite ammo is... oh wait, wrong game... * sigh *" LOL.

Heh, it is true. THe first couple of voices sound like 2 year olds. I just wounder how they sound with super low pitch... Hmmm *imagines chipmuck on steroids* Wow, that was a messed up thought.

Bleh, I hope there are a few more voices in the full release.

The voice sets are either 'anime uppity youngin' or 'anime tough dude' in my opinion. The pitch modifier helps a bit, but meh. I'm just kinda surprised they didn't make any different voices for casts at all. Not every cast is going to have the human face; I'd like a proper robot voice, perhaps beeps and boops or just plain ol' silence.

Still, having -a- choice is better than nothing, I suppose.

Male voice 12 FTW! He just sounds so psychotic and deranged. I can't wait to hear what that sounds like with a lower pitch. I'm definitely using that for my main character.

You know you could try making the pitch really deep but not to deep for your cast. And I do know what you mean not having an special voices for Casts. You'd think since they're robots they'd give em' some special voices but I can't really see them putting in beeps and boots. :S

I think you should be able to put filters on your chosen voice to make it more roboticised.

Yeah, I experimented with really low... curiously enough, though, the voice-set I ended up using on the open beta (and might use in the full release) was one of the more 'badass' voices rather high-pitched. Seemed to fit, but perhaps only becuase I was using a widdle robo. Using one of the low voices and turning it way down on the pitch modifier makes it sloooow. Voices that slow don't seem to mesh well with the rather fast-paced combat I'm doing (faster weapons).

You know what would be fun to see when online, an overly large Cast with a low low pitched voice. And what exact class are you going to be?

(If you don't know em' feel free to look at this)
Fortefighter- This type is for those who specialize in melee combat. They gain exclusive access to S-Rank Axes, along with other melee weapons. The only available ranged weapon are handguns, however they have much higher ATP and DFP. They gain Bullets up to level 10 and cannot use Techniques.

Fortegunner- This type is for those who specialize in ranged combat. Fortegunners gain exclusive access to many S-Rank ranged weapons, and their ATP and ATA are top-notch. They gain Skills up to level 10, but cannot use Techniques.

Fortecher- This type is for those who specialize in technique combat. Fortechers gain exclusive access to S-Rank Longbows, Staves, Rods, and Cards; Fortechers are able to use all techniques, however they suffer from lower DFP. They also gain Skills to level 10, and Bullets up to level 30.

Figunner- This type combines the abilities of a Hunter with a Ranger. Figunners gain exclusive access to Double Sabers, S-Rank Sabers and Dual Sabers; they can use all melee weapons except Axes. They cannot use Techniques.

Guntecher- This type combines the abilities of a Ranger with a Force, with added Hunter ability. They have exclusive access to S-Rank Dual Pistols, Machine Guns, and Crossbows. They specialize in Bullets, but are able to use Skills and Techniques as well.

Wartecher- This type combines the abilities of a Force with a Hunter, with added Ranger ability. The Wartechers gain no exclusive weaponry, but are unique in their ability to utilize both Skills and Techniques equally well.

Protranser- Protransers take pride in their ability to skillfully utilize traps in battle. They are the only class without the ability to use any S-Rank weapons; however, they are able to use all types of traps including those of much greater power than normal. They cannot use Techniques, but can have Skills and Bullets up to level 30.

I don't get the voices!
Ok, I understand the "Huh!" and "Hah!" and maybe even a laugh, but then on every voice there's like "HRRRUUUNNNGHGHHHH" and "HOOOOOF". These last two don't fit, unless they have some sort of boulder-lifting spacific noise. This is the sound made when someone lifts something heavy or builds up a bunch of Ki like in DBZ. "Hnnnnrgh! HHHHHHNNNRRRRGHHH! KAKAROTO!" The weapons are not as heavy as throwing fridges onto the monsters. It sounds dumb!

I'm also dissapointed in nothing done for the androids to SOUND like androids. I mean, please, give us a filter or something. They already PROVED they want androids to sound robotic, they got Fullyen and Renvolt in there, and even pinkhair girl isn't fully human sounding. I'd rather choose "silence" then any I've heard so far.

The girls fare a bit better with "Yah, unh heh! Huh, hah hyunh" They're still doing some "Heavy Lifting", but not to the point of oddity, like the guys.

It also is making me think that there's a couple in there that are like "Death sighs" for both male and female. I'm glad they retaind some of the laughs for female, as the JP ver had a very "Haughty Laughter" which just dripped arrogance. This would give serious character...

*It isn't just me, but a few of them seem to contain a sigh which is pleased rather than 'killed or feinting'. I don't know what purpose it would have.

I guess this is about what I expected. Nothing horrible because ST IS improving, but nothing to knock you out of the water, either because it's the USA, and not refined yet. Hopefully any additional disk will contain more voice options and throw the androids a bone with synth.

I was using a cast about 1/3 on the slider bar for height (pretty short, but not mini-me short) wearing the super-bulky armor. Probably going with the exact-same setup on release, either going wartecher or figunner. Still split on high-pitched low voice or low-pitched low voice.
