Ive decided i am going to be a female CAST Figunner. As i wan't to play the role of my fav Anime charecter. What i was wondering if i should start as a ranger or a hunter? I wan't to mainly focus on melee obviously, but i also want to be affective with pistoles.

id go with hunter since u can use meele and pistols

I'd start with Ranger first since thats the default cast class, and you only need to take it to lv3 where hunter needs lv5.

Oh so if i was a ranger i could go Figunner by lvl 3?
Also going ranger wouldnt effect my melee skills as Figunner Focuses ALOT more on melee? Sorry for the questions just i want to be 100% sure as im only a 1 charecter person and i am dead set on a name i have picked.

Personally I'm going hunter first because I enjoy it more. I figure I can blow through 3 ranger class levels super fast after I get some levels and can solo some bosses.

You need to level both Hunter at level 5 AND Ranger at level 3 for Figunner to unlock, but since it costs money to change classes its cheaper to level ranger first.

Ranger to job level 3.

Hunter to job level 5.

Once you've attained both, you can switch to Figunner at the class switch counter. Figunners do focus more on melee, but they also get the ability to use Twin Handguns, Crossbows, Mechguns, and Handguns. It's definitely more melee then gunplay though.
