View Full Version : Step 3: Its a date! (Time and Date)

This is a continuation of my Get-together Steps Topic.
Step 1: Time to start planning our place on PSU (Timezones and time) (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=121132&forum=20&61)
Step 2: Take two! Action! Music video idea. (Event for get-together) (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=122292&forum=20&21)

So now that we got the Timezones/Good times and Event down, its time to set a specific time and date.

Seeing that most of use are EST then CST/PST, we kinda have to make it convenient towards the majority, but also avaliable to all the other timezones and users. Seeing that PST and EST has a 3 hour time difference, it might be kinda hard get a decent time to spend a few hours for a get together unless its on a weekend.

We have to make the date a little bit after the release so it gives a chance for people to get online and get situated in the same place. Also, we have to pick a day that would best for everyone to get online.

So the objective here is:
Set a good time convenient for both EST, PST and nonUS players who will be importing.
Pick a date giving people enough time to get online.
Pick a day that would yield the biggest crowd.

Personally, I think we should have the get-together 1 week after the release on a Saturday at around 12PM EST (8 AM PST/5 PM GMT).

You know the drill http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'd say saturday around 3-4PM EST... alot of people tend to sleep in late on the weekends.

I thought that at first too, but I realized that we also have European players importing and I dont want to make them stay up late. Trying to keep everyone in view here. But majority wins http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Even though I am new around here I'll give what little input I can...

I would place my bets on Saturday 1PM EST (10 AM PST/6 PM GMT).

A lot of people usually sleep in on Saturdays but 10 AM doesn't seem too
early for anyone to wake up for a "special gathering"

Head explodes trying to not mess up time zones...

All I know is, if I play all night, I'm going to be playing still all the next day, and then sleep for like a full day.

I rather it be a little into the afternoon central time wise, theres to many factors of being concious in time, not being to hung over, and other than that...I'd do fine in zombie mode.

Sounds good Rizen

Considering I have a week to get a decent outfit put together and at those prices, I'll definately be fashionably late lol.

Im quite liking that time for us U.K/EU people.

at least for a weekly meet and greet to exchange cards ect, then we can just contact people whenever.

Though maybe I'd prefer it an hour earlier or so, its a majority thing and Im open to comply since it really only takes one or two meetings for everyone to be linked up.

I work Saturday from 7am-315pm PST. Which means if its before or around 6, I am going to miss it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

7-8 EST, imo, seems fine. Nights are usually the time people get off work since not a lot of people work nights (depending on their job). http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Anything after 10-12 PM and before 9 PM I can make on a Saturday.

So I guess 1-3 PM EST would be an OK idea, XD

Heres hoping that sonic team dosent underestimate their servers and give everyone a rollback like poor Japan ;-; I'm considering just playing the offline story all the way before I touch online.. I don't want my character to be swapped ;-;

I want to make it the saturday 1 week after the release to give people a chance to get online, not the saturday after the release.

And Im seeing a tendency of 1-3PM EST...what do you guys think?

Woosh~! Post count 777!

I don't really participate in the forum much but I'd enjoy getting together with everyone anyway.

So, time, time.. I'm free any time Saturday, though the ideal time is 6-7 PM

Well, I'm relatively new to the forums and I'd really enjoy participating in anything that would help me to get to know the people on the forums more.

Saturday is a good day, and if I don't stay up too late on Friday night I can definately get up for 11 PM CST/-6 GMT (my time.)
