http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif In all the screenshots/movies of character customization the male characters seem to start off with a vest-like thing, and some shorts, so I assumed these were permanent... But I just looked at the clothing section in and saw this (http://psupedia.org/index.php?title=Image:Male_Clothes.jpg)!.... And now I'm a bit confused... Are the shorts and vest just something free you get, but don't have to wear(assuming you put some other pants on!) ? Or does the shirtless option count as a shirt?.... Yeah.... I'm confused...

You cant go shirtless sadly. Its the main feature that keeps us sexy guys from being chick magnets http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

If you look at Parn's vids and pics, it is a good example of the least you can wear.

When you making a character, you can choose the color of your 'underwear'.

The "Underwear" is most likely a costume you can buy.

So you mean I'd have to wear the swim trunks inorder to be shirtless?!.... This isn't right!

Can you mix and match parts of those suits (like can you buy the boots, pants, jacket, etc. separately)?

Also, do they only come in those colors?

I wouldn't worry about that. I'm pretty sure they'll let us do that, atleast...... But if they don't I'm sure glad the swim trunks are blue! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Sega was pretty clever making the outfits, that's for sure. Some original stuff, but lots of easy ways to make tribute/knockoff characters. And with having multiple people getting the same name (but having different IDs), there can be 100 Squalls!

I am wondering the same thing myself. Anyone know?

Edit: I was also wondering if Extra Mode also has clothes shops (I know the options will be limited, but are they still there)?

Assuming the swim trunks and speedos are for a special event(probably summer), and assuming I purshased them: Would I still be able to wear them after the event passes?

This was my question.

For all non-Cast clothing, you can - infact, you are forced to anyway - purchase the bits separately. These separate 'bits' are tops (all upper body options), bottoms (all lower body options), and footwear (er, shoes). Like when you create a character to begin with. Through the Changing Room you can mix and match any of the options with each other - you do not need to wear X bottoms with X top. You can even mix things with underwear and stuff, too (I.E. display 'top' underwear but wear something else down below).

The exceptions to this are 'special outfits' that cover the entire body in one piece and override the whole top/bottom/shoe thing. Examples of these are Ethan's outfit and the Rappy suit. None of these are available online (JP) yet, though.

Accessories/Hairstyles from Lumilass and such do not count as inventory items like clothing, they are simply done 'in store' and you must live with it until you change it in the store for something else (at a fee of course). Like a haircut in the real world, in a sense.

Similar rules apply to Casts, only with Parts instead of clothing - and that the base Cast underarmor is some kind of one piece bodysuit. You can still opt to leave bits more exposed through the 'dressing' of Parts.

Ah ok, so multiple options of mix and match clothing. Awesome. I'm assuming that these clothes shops also exist offline as well then which is good to know. Cool, thanks for the reply.

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP THAT IS NOT A SQUALL SHIRT. It's just a fur lined jacket. With NOTHING on under it. It's also what my main will be wearing as soon as they are on offer. I HATE FINAL FANTASY, K?

ARGUS DOESN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE SQUALL.
