You need one in order to play online so I presume you need one for offline data, FFXI didn't require a Memory Card so I brought one for PSU~

You need a Memory Card in order to play offline, for sure.

Well, if he/she modded it, wouldn't that just bypass the Memory Card rule, like with all the other games?

Asking if you need a Memory Card to save a game is like asking if you can play PSU online without an internet connection.

EDIT: Changed my analogy. Makes more sense now >_>
