View Full Version : Is it difficult to level jobs?

From what I gather, your normal level stays the same no matter what job you are. Since you can change jobs on the fly, it seems like you could master one job and then switch to another while leveling your character. Am I underestimating the difficulty of leveling jobs, though?

leveling is 10X faster than what it was on pso.

Your jobs lvl is based on mission points. The higher the rank on a mission, the more points, C rank is the lowest you can get and you get nothing. So you have to get a good rank on a mission to lvl your class.

Dude, what? Level 50 in PSU is like getting to level 100 in PSO, if not higher

Anyways jobs level considerably slower than your main character level. I was level 41 before I reached Force level 10, and from what I've seen, expert jobs are considerably slower to level than the starter jobs

Leveling in pso was never slow to me anyway especially when you compare it to a game like wow or ffxi.

It took me a year and a half to get to level 200 on pso, and trust me after you hit lv 150 it becomes just as tedious as any other mmorpg.

In story mode once I got to lvl 42 with Ethan I was only lvl 6 Hunter level. I think.... it was so long ago @_@

I have to disgree you either didn't play the right quest or didn't play very often in that year and half. In less then a year I had one job at 197 and three others past 150. It really didn't get tedious to me until the mid 190s but it still wasn't a big issue to me. I will say this though I was playing the gamecube version and all the good weapons were easily obtainable so yeah I had every weapon in the game at my arsenal.

I don't exspect PSU to be the same but with the levels currently being capped and being released on a time basis I don't exspect leveling to be to tedious.

So, if Lv183ish was the half-way point to lv200 in PSO... what is the current half-way point for PSU? I mean for lv60 as it's the highest cap so far? Like, 43ish?

It'd probably be 50. 50-60 seems to take as long if not longer than 1-50.

As for job level, its pretty damn slow. But it also largely depends on where you level and who you level with. If you level with people that are too cheap to buy scapes, then chances are you'll job level far slower.

Job leveling is so easy. I hit level 4 3/5 on the beta in 5-6 hours making money doing countless sleeping warrior runs. It just depends on how much you want it

I thought it was rather reasonable myself, by level 19 I was a level 3 Ranger & half way to level 4. Its all about who you fight, for instance you get like 6-8 for an S-Rank on De Ragan alone!

On the online game ,For The Level of your character its very fast actually. But the levels of the expert class Job are a way more slow to level http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
