I was wondering...
I'm not sure how to word this cause Im not sure what its called on other MMO's. Lets say I make a character for my 360 or whatever, and I go to my buddies house who has the game, and want to play on his computer, would I be able to system transfer character, are they saved on the server or are you stuck playing on the system you made your character on...

Sorry I sound like a new noob, but it crossed my mind when we were talking about Square-Enix FFXI multi system MMO

saved on server, so no matter hwere oyu go if you can get on a 360 pso your char is reachable, howveer you cannot alter the data nor can you copy it for another.

EDIT: didnt fully read, a 360 psu character is ONLY playable on a 360, ps2/pc ones are interchangable since they ar emerged servers.

No.

You make it for the 360 and you can only play your character on a 360.

You make it on the PS2 you can load it up on the PC, and vice versa.

360 is completely separate from the PS2/PC.

When have server side characters stopped people from hacking, its as much as worse as any other game like ffxi with all the packet sniffing and such. I don't see whats going to stop people on the ps2 version from booting up the game with "Game Shark" or "Action Replay", unless its held on the hard disk which I highly doubt alot of people have but who knows people always find a way to mess with something.

Be thankful for the in-built hardrives and memory the next gen consoles will have. lol.

Always disliked memory cards.

Memory cards be the tool of the devil seriously flash memory was a bad idea when the technology what still in the infant stages of development during the early ps2 years they should have just stuck with the hard drive that took them almost 6 some years to create even though readily available for ffxi in japan in 2002

The server is magic and knows this. Trust me you never see GS/AR hacking on server based games because you can't edit it without the server knowing.

ya can still packet edit and such to mess with the data and some of the time the server does except it if it was possiible to use a packet sniffer in ffxi to determine a nm spawn point its possible to be used in psu for other things

If your friends are getting it for PS2/PC, then you'd be an idiot to get it for 360.

if u make ur char on 360 and ur buddy has a 360 u can go on ur char tho...
360 will be better since better graphics (slightly), better controller, and VOICE CHAT. lol have fun saying "I need Resta, cast it now!" without voice chat. by the time u type that u'll be dead.
