Are Guardian's License available for purchase on the website yet? I registered a playsega account even though they didn't have an icon for Phantasy Star Universe yet, and I don't see an option for it under my account options.

It'll be available by the time the game is released, that's for sure.

Well, I'm sure of that. I just wanted to see if I could get it out of the way already so I won't have to bother when I pick up the game, otherwise I'll have to play extra mode for awhile. Not that that's a bad thing, I'll be able to pick up on game mechanics.

for xbox users you can buy them today via xbox live marketplace... they are currently selling at $9.99 (U.S.)

Eh, I'm a PC user. Ran through the website, registered a Sega ID or whatever but only options for Blue Burst right now. So, I'll just have to do it on the Wednesday when I get it.

For the PC version, you'r going to need the Activation code that comes with the game once you purchase it. Also im pretty sure you don't want to dish out $9.99, when you get 2weeks-a month free when you get the game:)

I wasn't sure how the set up worked. For other games, you needed to have the payment information in for future purchases, or you had to buy a month to get the free month for when you got the game. But thanks for the insight.

i think they're trying to over charge canadians. on the market place its 14.99 which is stupid. the exchange rate is only like 1.1% now...it should only be around 11-12 dollars

Meh. I just cancelled my BB and PSOX HLs so my Mom would let me put the charge on her card (even though she just takes all the monthly fees out of my paycheck). Guess I'm saving myself some money http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

EDIT: But still, the exchange rate is like 0.89$ to the US dollar, so we should only be paying like 12 bucks a month. Unless they just want the payments to be in increments of 5 >_>

Payments used to be like that though. Well, I've only noticed it to be in increments of five. But maybe that was the exchange rates back then, but I wouldn't know.

Either way, I wouldn't consider 15 too bad. But, I've paid that much for WoW.

So you have to go to the sega site and register if your on PC and you can't do that until you have the activation code from the actual game?

I'm only moments away from cancelling FFXI anyway, so that alone will cover the PSU fee. Cancelling BB (two days ago) was only to save me money, because I played it for all of one week. I cancelled my HL for PSOX about a month ago, because the Christmas music was driving me nuts.
