World one most likely, might be laggy for the first 2 weeks but after that it should calm down and be a good server.

How are the servers gonna work? i heard before that there are worlds that you cannot transfer characters between and universes that you can. anybody clarify this for me?

I will put it like this...we want a world thats populated but not overcrowded. I know alot of people might be choosing World 2 because they dont want to deal with the 'noob' crowd of World 1. Also for those who imported, they had bad experience of World 1's reset and crashes.

Maybe I posted this a bit too early. I dunno if there is even going to be a second World on release, but i need some general census to go by so I can try to answer the question of what server we are going to be on.

The names are confusing http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif shouldn't the servers be called universes? Ah well, it seems like each one can support quite a few players and even if we pick world 1 and it's laggy, there are others that will leave to world 2.

I say as long as we pick one and stick to it there won't be a problem. As far as which to pick, that may have to wait.

Japan underestimated the amount of people that would be playing, no doubt SEGA will do the same. (Sega has way less people to worry about, but there servers can only take so much)

It might not be added right away or at all, but its good to know where your friends will be if it happens.

Yes you can have characters on both servers... just non-transferable. It would be nice though if sega would allow you to transfer from one server to the other like they do in wow

I will be playing on server 2 for sure... And if that just so happens to NOT be PSOW's server... then oh well... but if it is, then thats cool too.

Something tells me that due to PSOW's large community, whichever server psow picks will become the more populated server.

In say a year from now, when this game will be low on population from people moving to premium mmo's, id say world 1 will have the most people so im picking 1 if i ever decide to come back to PSU in the future

There's also a possibility that Sega would allow a character transfer option at some point in the future if a world were to become overcrowded. This is common in many MMORPGS when population becomes an issue.

I thought sega said NA release will only start with 1 world at the NA launch for PS2/PC and XBOX360. In a sense our world 1 and world 2 is pretty much PS2/PC and XBOX360 anyways...
