Let me cut down on topics and ask here:

In Extra mode, can you gain a partner card from another extra mode character? BTW, not your friend's extra mode character, but one of your other characters.

How is the story though? That's what I play an RPG for really.

The game is in Japanese. I don't know the specifics, but it appears to be your typical deep-and-dramatic-with-lots-of-humor-which-may-or-may-not-be-perverted Japanese plotline.

No, you can only get the Partner Cards of some Story Mode characters and your Partner Machinery.
