I would like to convert my own Graphics over, as if you send them to that donut.org website, they come back postage stamp size

if you read the site you would see that the image that donut.whetever sends you is exactly whats on the vmu. it cant take a full screen shot

That is not what I asked. I want to convert it myself. I don't want a .Jpg (hint) I can do some software enhancements as long as it is not compressed (hint)
I want to know how to convert the raw file;P

You guys aren't getting the point. The file that gets saved to your VMU is a .DAT file. This cannot be read by any Paint programs that I know of.

If I'm thinking what I'm thinking(lol), she wants to know the same thing I wanna know, what programs can convert the .DAT file into another format?

I don't have the 2.0 Webrowser so I can't go to donuts site and send the pic from my DC. I sent it to my Hotmail on my PC so I could convert it myself but so far I haven't found out how.

If I'm not mistaken, I think GIMP on Linux computers can read .dat files. From there, you can convert them to jpg/gif/tiff/etc...

Have you tried manually renaming the extension, from .dat, to say .bmp?

Spy:

That doesn't work. The file is some weird format. I have a program that can read a zillion different formats and can read files with different/no extentions, and it can't make heads or tails of this dat file.
