Short story even shorter, I was refused a credit card so I can't play PSU online.
Visa giftcards are not avaliable to UK customers.
I am totally boned unless anyone out there knows another way I can do this.
OH! The desperation. Et ectera.

Get a debit card from your bank. You can get a Visa debit card and use that. It means no credit so there should be absolutely no reason for your bank not to issue one. If they refuse, change banks. Seriously.

See if your bank has debit cards.

Augh. I have a debit card. It's a maestro card and is not accepted.
I begged my mom, friends and even a guy who lives on the floor below me who all said no.

I'm gonna try my ass off to apply in a diffrent bank tomorrow, but right now I'm desperate for anything. And more than a little cranky.

I know it does, but I have maestro. I can't ask to change it to visa if the bank just declined my application for one...
I'm gonna apply for a barkley visa debit card and hope they give me one...

Sorry. I thought you applied for a credit card, not debit. Sort of puzzles me why a bank would deny you a debit card, but oh well. Their loss.

Now I'm not 100% sure on this but I remember reading somewhere on this forum that PSU in JP didn't ask for credit card information to get online and play their free month. So I'm guessing it would be a strong possibility of that samething happening here. If it's true that at least gives you an extra month to figure out something and play online.

Most online games ask for credit card information though before you get the free time. You could always just steal a credit card, use the information and then return it. Then before the times up on your free time just cancel it. It's a sneaky way of doing things but at least you will get to use your free time, if it comes with free time for everyone else and not just JP.

Yeah, I'm really hoping it won't ask for details but if it does I can explain that to my mum. Hopefully it's a month not just two weeks...that'd give me time to get my own card...

I'm kind of in the same boat. I don't have a card to use for my own so it's a small conversation explaining everything everytime I want to use a credit card for something. I'm just hopeing it doesn't ask for anything so I don't have to deal with it for now. I'm already borrowing money to buy the game this wed, don't want to push it anymore. Luckily though I have a friend with a credit card who will let me use the information to get my account online. Although sometimes I can't get ahold of them when I need to.

Hopefully I get hired somewhere soon and then after a while I'll have a credit card for online things like this.

Great thing about America, they give you a Visa debit card just for openeing a bank account!!!!!!!!!
