When it rains it pours!

So I started off the day's PSOing today with a number of forest runs through Hard. Got myself a Varista and a pair of Rappy Fans. Then, after dinner, I decided it was time to see if I could handle Hard Dark Falz. (I could, but that's tangental to the story.) In the ruins I got myself a pair of Shield of Delsaber's, and a Crush Bullet.

Is this kind of rare distribution normal? Or was I pretty lucky to get six rares today? I know the rate of drop has been increased but six seems a bit higher than I expected. (Oh, and I saw an Al Rappy, too.)

If it was online, I'd say quite normal. If it was offline, you did bag more than ou could. In any case, things are quite more common compared to as they were in DC PSO.

Hmm... I've gotten four rares in an offline game before... they were all the same thing though. Many of the nine-star rares are pretty common... and rappy's fans, gigobooma's claws, anything delsaber and g. assassin's blades.

I know the feeling. For so long I didn't find any rares at all, then yesterday as a level 38 I found the following:

club of laconium (spelling?)
db saber
Blade Dance
Rappy Wing
2x Def Material
2x Evade Material
Power Material

This was all in just 2 hours of playing offline through the forest. I seriously didn't want to quit thinking I might jinx it, but unfortunately I had homework to do for college and I pay to much money to my dang university to not do it.

the same happened to me. one time through the forest i got a booma claw ,inferno bazooka from an al rappy, crush bullet, DB saber, and a varista ,plus a few materials and this was only on Hard

It's offline. I haven't got an adaptor yet--trying to decide whether the BBA or the dialup would be more useful given my situation, and also broke.

I don't even bother counting Materials anymore as rares. I've got fifteen Mind Materials sitting in my bank waiting to trade to my bud when he comes over this weekend, and I keep finding more. Seemed like every Dark Belra I killed in the Normal Ruins dropped a Def Material...I also found a TP/Restorate yesterday, and some other high-level slot items, and got myself some half-decent armors--several with four slots...

But then, I always had good luck finding materials, and rares. Back in version one, in the frenzied playing my friends and I did before I got the gamecube and Episode II, in a matter of two days I'd picked up two Agitos and a Delsaber's Buster on Normal mode. Among other things.

i'm exstatic. in dc pso i never found so many rares so early in the game (OFFLINE!). but since playing gc i've found:
photon launcher
varista
crush bullet
agito(2001)
m&a60vise
rappy's wing
and yamamoto
the biggest finds were photon launcher and yamamoto but still... not normal, especially when you're a Pinkal RAmarl. >.<

My Two-Day Spree back in version one was done with a Pinkal FOnewearl, actually...

Today's second find: Vjaya dropped by...er, either a Poison Lily or a Pal or Evil Shark in the VH Cave.

from level 1-53 i found an addslot, musashi, varista, secret gear and 2 dbsabers. lv 54 hit and in one room (the same as the level up and just after) i found 2 booma right arms and a rappy wing. i was starting to think the game hated me like my dreamcast did. guess i was wrong lol.

All through Normal mode I was worrying that my game hated me, 'cause I got tons of rares on my DC in Normal mode, but now my "luck" seems to have returned in full force. I'm starting to think I need to get online, though, after all, just so I can trade some of this stuff I have no use at all for. I'd gladly throw a Delsaber shield at anyone who'd give me one of their busters...but it's moot at the moment, unless I get over to a friend's house who actually has an adaptor (or a HL...)

(I forgot to mention the double saber I got on the DC, and yesterday's haul finished with another rappy fan, a wizard/technique, and a Yamato. Which my RAmarl can't use.)
