In order to keep the servers operating at the fullest of their potential, a weekly maintenance period will be performed across all game versions. Maintenance is schedule for the following time:

* Every Thursday, 5pm to 10pm GMT-7

This translates as -

5 PM - 10 PM PST
6 PM - 11 PM MST
7 PM - 12 AM CST
8 PM - 1 AM EST
1 AM - 6 AM GMT

I guess Europe gets off lightly this time.

Thanks for the time translation I was just inquirying about that in another thread. While it's not exactly the best time (I thought most gamers played at the core times of 8-midnight EST), not a big deal allows me to keep a social life...maybe.

That sucks. I usuallly play at night...why would they have it 7-12? why not like early in the morning?

Im loving those maint. times, but i guess its some kind of compensation for releasing the game a month later in the EU? heh.

does that go for this week as well?

Yeah i've come across this about 5 minutes ago. I've got school starting in about 40 mins. Trying to see whether PSU is even in the state of Arizona right now.
But hey if they do the weekly server maintenance, i won't complain with that, that gives me an excuse to actually play the offline version of the game

They surely mean PST for the times, since all times on PSOBB were given in PST. PST is currently GMT-7, but after this coming Sunday, Daylight Savings Time will end, and PST will be GMT-8 (the time in England is currently GMT+1).

Therefore, this works out to be:

5-10 PST
6-11 MST
7-12 CST
8-1 EST
1-6 GMT

It's actually 7pm-12am, the correct maintenance hours are now above.

No, no, no.

It is in the evening/night/early morning, depending on your timezone.

Every thursday? You've got to be kidding me.

Sega is actually stepping things up a bit? How strange yet interesting. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Wow, for once Europe doesn't get shafted with a big online game and its maintenance times. That's rather, er.. odd. Yet quite nice.

This sucks - Thursday was going to be my main time to play this game....

7PM - 12AM CST

I get home at 6 on thursday from work - um that's not a lot of play time.

Something tells me this isn't right. Sega wouldn't shot themselves in the foot like this for the majority of their players. (No disrespect European people http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

They'll probably reschedule the times later on down the road as more people start to complain. I'm quite happy with it, frankly. I don't mind having a day off of sorts from PSU. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yeah I am pretty sad, I live in the CST and Thursday nights are the only time I really get to play more than just a few minutes due to my work schedule so this will really eat into my game time. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Wow, people are really freaking out about this whole once-a-week thing.

"zomg all night nooooooz!"

YOU HAVE SIX OTHER DAYS TO PLAY AT ANY OTHER TIME THAN THAT.

Just because there are six other days in the week doesn't mean people have the time during those days to play the game.

Not really freaking out, just a little sad. Due to my work schedule the maintance window falls right smack in the middle of my only real playing window.

Sweet, an excuse to play offline mode. Now I don't have to contemplate whether I should play network or story mode first, I'll just play story mode during downtimes http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif.
