Ok guys i know a place in NYC that might have it. Its located in Chinatown on 28 Elizabeth St stores called J&L. They had Kingdom Hearts 2 on shipping date i went over there and picked it up store was packed. They are really big importers and sell everything and if they dont have it they will get it for you but at a price. You'd make a good salesman though. But either way it make sense that that place would have it on the shipping dates. I dunno, it's just my assumption, but things do come on the coast first, then come inward. If it's literally being -shipped-.

Gamestop, EB Games, Gamecrazy etc.. all these stores get it the day after the shipping date so living on the eastcoast doesnt really have much of an advantage but sometimes if a game is really hyped like the upcoming FFXII then chances are they get it on shipping date

I am on the East Coast, and have been trying since 10 am when everything opens to get this game. (calling) as I am the farthest east of everyone I know, and wanted to report.

I tried Ebgames GameSpot GameStop and they all say the same thing: "Playstation2 Version has vendor delay of one day", you CANT get it until thursday.

I'm pre-ordered at gamespot, and they are IFFY on my soundtrack! BS! I gave them money ahead of time so they'd retain one for me! Don't tell me you are somehow magically "out of them" when you don't even have the damm game! Since I'm pre-ordered, if I go somewhere else, I have to cancel my soundtrack and heckle my money back because the stupid delay.

BestBuy says 'not till wed', but who knows. Circuit City says the same thing after half hour in a phone maze and getting hung up on.
CompUSA and Target "Doesn't know" when they'll have it but "call back friday". They all take like 10+ min to reach too, just cause phone mazes, and that's IF some cretin doesn't hang up on you without even lifting the phone every time.

So does ANYone here ACTUALLY HAVE this game? If so, where did it come from?

There's lots of posts on 'server's up!' or 'how do I get hl' and stuff like that, but if NO STORE is selling it, what are you supposed to do? Am I sunk till thursday? What good were all those 'countdown' sigs if it was never out till wed. anyway? (without the dumb last minute delay--no one could predict it)

That seems to be the case with most games. It says it comes out on tuesday, but usually that is just the SHIP DATE, and it arrives in stores on thursday. I just thought though, that PSU would be a big release game, and you could actually get it on tuesday. Yeah that's actually a good point. People almost always put up torrents of movies/video games before release dates. This would be another confirmation that no one is actually playing the game now, because no one has it.

Except for me. I got my copy at Famous Footwear last night and have been secretly playing on the N64 server all by myself.

And it might actually be possible to play on burns/downloads. I dont' think the game is "one disc per person per dreamcast" like PSO was, otherwise, playsega.com would have asked for your game disc's serial when you subscribed.

Wal-mart and other non-video game stores usually have their own distibution methods (aka not using fedex and ups for everything that comes in)... Wal-mart for sure uses their own trucks, so they get their loads from a cross dock that supplies multiple wal-mart stores.

GameStop, EB Games, and Babbage's will not receive the Xbox 360 version until either late 25th, or early 26th. The shipping date for the Xbox 360 version has been pushed back to the 25th. There has been countless threads informing of this.

If it's the PS2/PC version, maybe it's just the fact you're all the way on the west coast. Either way, you may want to cancel your pre-order if you can and keep your options open.

By the way, I work at a game store so I know, they check the game title by typing it, so if you say Phantasy, they'll asume it is spelled with an F, so make sure you tell them 'PH' in fantasy. The shipments for most stores already came in or will be in by today, but its policy to check the merchendise, and have the stock counted for at least half a day before releasing the game to the public. Mall stores also receive shipment first, so you can count out your wall-mart theories. XD

Oh yes, I tried Wal-mart already. That was the first store I went to. The next was EB games. I have a friend working at EB games so I can definitely get information from him. I also have a friend working at Best Buy, so I should get information from him later today. Gamestop and Best Buy are the only places I havent checked since they are 10 miles farther away from me.

Well I used to work for a Walmart receiving dept. let the ol' boy here shed some light on the subject of how they get stuff.

1.Well first and foremost they get all games themselves through UPS/Fedex deliveries.Game systems on the other hand are recived through trucks unless its a rush job then they are sent UPS/FedEx

2.Numberous times I have seen Wal-mart get games SEVERAL days before street date. they just stockpile them in boxes in the back according to date then go stock them on the date they go out.Now this is of course not counting some idiot who can't read and takes the games out the day they are checked in and I have to backhand them.

So yes these reasons here are why it is possible for Wal-mart to get games before gamestops.I know people that work for Gamestops and a lot of times the games go to a central store in a large city who has them Fedexed/UPS to the other stores in the reigon.Unless they have someone drive to pick up the games the ship date,which has been done on occasion on big bill titles.

So hopefully this kinda clears up a bit on how Wal-mart can get it earlier...

I've bought a ton of PC games over the years and none of them came in a dvd style case like a movie or ps2 game would. They all come in a cardboard box. This guy took the plastic case that they have on the shelves at EB or Gamestop and took a picture of it in his hand.

It's not a lie. For a fact, I have found out that 100% for sure that the game is post poned. The game is delayed because they had an issue with putting stickers or something on the cases. So they where not ready for the actualy release date of the game. Even worse for XBox 360 Players(2day Delay)

The reasons for this is the misdilivery aproximated time. So as for this the Main distributer will "NOT" Deliver any LEGAL copies of the game untillthe Dates above.

Yea, my FFXI Was a DVD thats just because it had so much information on it and it was only used when you download the information to your HD, and when you where done D/L to your PC you can play it without a CD. As from what I know there might be a Downloading information CD and a Play CD. But Im not sure so Im just pretty sure in any case the game is a CD Rom. You are right though. Alot of the newer games have been relying on DVD Instead of CD Rom. *Comends good point*
