just wondering. if offline modes are online dependant like PC, the game is completely useless iwthout online connection.

so I was just wondering.

if it can be played offline without needing to go online, then maybe I'll skip getting the PS2 version as well.

since if X360 version needs online connection even for offline story, then a PS2 version on hand would be useful in cases when online is not accessible for whatever reason. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Yes, The XBox Virsion has many unique features that PC and PS2 wont have.. Mainly the all new Voice chat that is only available if you use XBox Live. I could careless though PC is the way to go.

The PC is the only one that must be connected online to play offline, IIRC.

errr.. the only time I couldn't logon to XBL was with the last maintenance.. >_> But the 360 will probably be playable offline.. cause there is still 30% of 360 owners that is not connected to XBL. I don't think SEGA want's to miss those.

The reason the PC get's that online check, is because PC games got alot more pirated then console games.

PC connects to gameguard or whatnot, the 360 does not need to just like the ps2 version.

Question though if Xbox360 does allow for players to play there characters offline doesn't that make it easier for certain individuals to tamper with the PSU system files and edit there offline character data. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not that important but just curious. I know it would prove interesting to test out upgrading/grinding variuos items for my story mode or extra mode character before hopping online for the NA version.

You can play offline mode without being connected to the Internet.

for PC you could always use a crack to play with no internet connection. easy to find.

If the Xbox360 and PS2 version don't have to connect to anti-hacking software such as gameguard won't that make it more vaunerable for situtions in which sega would have to be involved to 'fix' certain elements.

You should be able to play offline without connecting to Xbox Live, but you won't get any acheivements that way.

Saner, i'm goning to be honest with you, i spend several minutes trying to read youe post, and i think i've got it.

360 and ps2 do not need to have an internet connection to play sotry mode, or extra mode.

PC requires an internet connection for any mode.

characters in Extra mode cannot be used in online mode.

I know characters offline can't be used online and vice versa.

some people are misinterpreting my topic!!!!!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

but thanks for the info that X360 version doesnt need to be connected online to play the offline modes. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif this will be useful during the times online servers have maintenance and stuff and I dont feel like staying hooked to Live while playing offline.

I keep getting interupted by the notices: "So and So is Online" http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif
so that's why I like playing offline modes offline. besides on trips and stuff I wont have access to online so ya being able to play offline without needing to connect online is a big plus! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
