I know I will. I've always liked it. I guess I can get over it if they don't force us to start the game up with that PSU theme song...

No. On PSOBB, I replaced it with the vastly superior opening theme from PSIV.

Only thing I was miss is that one song from episode 2.. I can't remember the name of the song, but I remember it saying something about Blazing Rangers. God, I loved that song! XD

I also haven't played PSO in about two years so I really don't remember how the opening music sounds.

That... That sounds like a good idea, actually...
By the way, "End of a Millennium" doesn't sound anywhere near as good on the piano.

Lol... I used to let it set and play on the main menu screen for awhile just to here the music. And I loved the dragon boss music.

Hearing that song again would bring back to many memories, both bad and good. I'd probably burst into tears, and not be able to play the game...

The title screen music in PSU (Save This World - Orchestra Version), post the big booming intro, is one big 7 minute ball of greatness. Like seriously, leave it for about 25 seconds and let the perhaps less dramatic sections kick in (it flips between all sorts of pace throughout, another slower paced bit comes in at 1:30 or so). I always think if they edited the track especially for the title screen that around that 25 second point would've been a good place to begin (I've had far too much time to think about this due to the Error 52's and such I've witnessed) as it's all, well, er.. smooth (and for some reason it reminds of me of Skies of Arcadia's title screen, which can't be bad).

That said, I did equally love PSO's title music, but each piece fits its appropiate content accordingly. What with PSO's whole multicolour techno-dream ambush of space slutting it up with fantasy world in a back alley, compared to the somewhat more 'naturalistic' (well.. I guess as far as you can take that in a space RPG with giant robots weilding magic sticks and furry chicks with big breasts brandishing laser cannons in glowing shirts) and generally sleek thing PSU has going on in terms of colour and style over its predecessor.

Yes... I will miss it.... Many many hours I left my cube on in the background with that music playing... It's almost like... "My house's theme song" because its playing in the background so often XD

but yea, I'll still play pso from time to time.. so... It's not like its gone

I still have a bunch of pso mp3s from when I downloaded psobb's open beta. I deleted that off my computer but made sure to take the music out first and keep it.

The music from PSO reminds me of all the times I spent staying up way too late chatting with my friends. I usually ended up falling asleep and when I'd wake up, the opening music would be playing.

...So yes, I'll definitely miss the opening music from PSO. On the other hand, I won't miss the fact that hearing it usually meant I had fallen asleep with my face on my keyboard. again. (keyboard face = http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif)

I will miss it very much... it is one of the best and most suited pieces of music ever... I used to wait at the title screen just to listen to it for awhile...

Yes. I will. I loved the PSO music. I might even play it in the background during PSU play. But some of the new sounds are familiar. I think the Haloween track sounds almost in place with the older music.

I like Can still see the light (http://moonlightmusic.zoomshare.com/files/21_Can_still_see_the_light_Lyric_Version_Phantasy_ Star_Online_ENDING_THEME_.mp3),
but I still say World with me (http://moonlightmusic.zoomshare.com/files/World_with_me.mp3) is the best song on the cd.
