Cutscene problem

Hey everyone! I'm having a little problem with some of the cutscenes in the game. I can get most of them, but when it comes to the ceremony and first SEED attack scene in chapter 1, it loads, skips everything, and goes directly to the evacuation. I wouldn't have realized that if my friend didn't tell me about it. From what he says, I'm missing a large chunk of the storyline when my computer just goes and skips these scenes.

Does anyone have any advice? My computer has a Radeon 9600 256mb graphics card, and the card has never failed on me like it has now.
