I've looked all over the manual and can't find out how to do it. Anyone know?

On the PS2 it's hold down the Tab key and then Press enter if I'm understanding your Question correctly (and it is similar on PC).

If you are asking about the jaggy edges around chat bubbles that is hold down the Ctrl key...

It is explained a bit strange in the manual.

Thanks for asking this Elleranda. I was also wondering about this. However, since I'm still embarassed that I had to ask how to un-equip items I'm glad I didn't have to make this topic, too. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

You must be so embarassed.

You said "toon". I'm sorry for you.

"Toon" is about the lamest thing you can call your character.

Toon make sense to me, they look like cartoons http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

No.

Character. It is a character.

Thanks for being new to video games.

Agreed, but its shorter than typing out "character".

With my old PSO buddies, we ended up typing in "char" as shorthand for "character". It would always confuse new people who came into our games though. One person even asked, "Char? Is something burning?!" XD

We kept this up whenever we would meet on other online games besides PSO, often using the word "char" instead of toon (I agree, "toon" does sound silly), and once again, would end up confusing newcomers in our games.

I just type out "character" because I'm not exceedingly lazy.

I think you should go smoke more cigarettes http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I don't smoke. I can be grumpy without vices.

Wow, you have the least amount of personality I've ever witnessed. Get a sense of humor man.

You don't even know me well enough to make that judgement.

Try again, "Fate Fighter". You've caught me in a pugilistic mood.

See, there you go again. You're taking it just a little too seriously. But if you want to be really picky, we can do that.

Pugilism is the art of fighting with ones fists. If you were REALLY in that mood you'd be in a boxing ring, or some other form or contraption where people fight.

I would've just said confrontational, but then again I don't feel the need to sound like a holier than thou douchebag

Because words are only ever used in their strict, literal sense.

Very good, you figured it out. Want a cookie?

I never said I didn't understand the term. I said it was lame, and it is. Only complete dickholes call their game character a "toon".

I heard "toon" for the first time about a month back.... Is that the slang for a character on EQ? Everyone I've heard say "toon" has come from EQ/EQII, so far.

...To be honest, I can't say that I like it very much. (Not enough to argue over it... it's just not my favorite euphemism) ...Dunno, it just doesn't sound right to me. Is that weird? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

No, it's not weird. It's correct.
