Any way to aim TECHNICS?

I hate asking these questions because they make me feel all noobish, but even after reading through the manual I couldn't figure out if there's a way to actually lock-on to an opponent and have your TECHNICS head in their direction. Am I an idiot, or is forcing you to actually aim part of the challenge?

I only have Foie, so I'm still getting used to hitting moving opponents with a ball of fire that travels only in a straight line.

Nope, you cannot lock on with techs or guns. Only close combat weapons lock on from what I understand.

Pretty much, strafing keeps you in line so just aim strait foreward.

works for distant targets but at close range it gets to be annoying, for some reason characters cant turn very well the only thing i know that helps is to maybe not use strafe when there real close because youll more then likely 'look' in the wrong direction

Strafe and pray. That, and at close range use technics with bigger shots. It seems a lot easier to hit close up enemies with big Foie blasts than lightning.
