On page 11 of the manual towards the bottom it reads...

"You are must have a valid e-mail address, and you will be issued only one SEGA ID/Password per e-mail address." (Bold added by me.)

I thought you all should know.

Was Sega responsible for the original Zero Wing? Or do I have my facts messed up?

Though it was on the Genesis, all of the translations for the
Mega-drive console port were done in-house by Toaplan Software, the company that originally developed the arcade version.

Ah, so that's what the 150MB patch is for.
