Synthesizing and Grinding

okay, just a few things. What is the purpose of synthesizing items and weapons and armors. Also, do you have to be on a certain planet to grind a certain weapon?

The purpose of synthesizing is so that you can make even better equipment, at a better price.
As for grinding, yes, you do need to be on the planet native to the weapon's manufacturer for it to work.
