Rares?

Hi, 360 player here. During the beta i noticed.. hey... where are the rares? But i just assumed well its a beta ill just wait for the real game.

Now that i have it, it looks exactly the same. And i gotta say one of the best parts about the PSO's are the rares. All the different awesome weapons, actually finding them as drops, instead of ghey crafting items to make ghey things. So tell me, if anyone knows, can i expect to see a plethora of outrageous rare weapons? or is this game gonna be kinda shitty lol.

Uhhh... since it just came out yesterday... I would imagine you have only seen teh tip of teh iceberg. How many rares did you find on your normal F1-R3 runs??? I would bet hardly any at all. Maybe a good buster if you were lucky (or some handgun, or rifle equivalent) Heck you did not get shotguns until M2-R3. So have patience, and yes crafting new items is going to be a lot more fun than just finding it. uh well i ran into a n orange box, or diamond that had 8 stars, but it was a sythn item.

I can agree with crafting rares will be fun, if crafting rares is possible. But yea i kinda did expect to find a varista-ish item my first like 10 times through the first few areas lol. Hey, if this game played host to ENOUGH rares, they would be able to drop a few earlier on for us.

I don't think we can find rares from enemy drops. Maybe you can get rare synthesisable items, room decorations...etc

I'd be willing to bet that you can get both rare drops and rare boards from enemies.

Only thing I believe I came close to find that I would consider a "rare" was the Rappy Feather I got from a random spawn of Rappy's during Sleeping Warriors.

Well i had a thought, all the weps drop in boxes with a little saber on top of the box. I guess if a rare wep drops from a mob it will drop in ared version of that particular box. (just a thought)

And yea Bigkev, i betcha its gona be all about the rare boards if items dont drop directly.

I also found a synth item called De Ragan after getting a S rank on the free mission run. Maybe it's to synthesize a recreation of the Dragon Claw from PSO. That'd be sweet, lol.

Am I wrong? I thought the orangisg red boxes were the rares. Seven stars and beyond. I have yet to find any weapons like that, but I have found a number of item. They had rare items in PSO. The first guy's comment has got me confused. And for the record, I really hope they have rare drops of weapons and armor. That was a huge thing for me in PSO. Making them yourself would just be a plus.
