Extra Mode mission diff.

Do Extra Mode missions have difficulty ranks too, such as C B A and S? Or when you get high enough do you just move onto another mission?

No, they do not. Extra Mode only has the Free Missions from Story Mode. They also won't be unlocked until you've unlocked their Story Mode equivalents.
