Weapon color change

I remember hearing about our weapons (not the photon element) and become different colors.

I'm not sure if it's through synthesis, or what, but could someone inform me of the lowdown?

Ranger and Force weapons change color based on the elements of the PAs on them, while Hunter weapons change based on element of photon used in synthesis.

The metal parts change color depending on the weapons rank (number of stars).

As sammy said, each higher rank has different color paint. At 7 star, they still have a consistant color paint, but they start having unique looks.

Experimental versions of 6 star guns are usually also either black/metallic or white. Generally makes them look like a real gun.
