Some questions about Armor

When I look at the properties of armor it lists -Head, Body, Arm, and Extra. If the armor has one or more of those highlighted, it means that I can equip a unit in those slots?

And do Beast's tattoos need to go in one of those slots? If so, which?

Question 1: Yes.
Question 2: No. Blast Badges are purchased at the makeovers shop, "Lumilass", in Clyez City 3F. Cast's SUV weapons are inserted as units in the extra slot. (Note that it seems only B rank or higher armor can carry an extra slot.)
