i've done well over 20 s rank runs on him (today alone!) and havn't gotten another tail.
the only other tail i've seen dropped on a B rank.

it's just a random drop (mine came from an S rank tho)

Had quite the debacle concerning that tail tonight. Me and 2 friends were doing that mission, and toward the end of the last block before the dragon some random guy joins the game. He dies once soon after, messing up our rank, and when we get to the boss porter he activates it while we're all not ready. I ended up missing the ride. So I got to sit there twiddling my thumbs, and watching the guy die twice more. Dragon went down, dropped the tail, and of course it went to the idiot when someone picked it up. He quit the party as soon as we got to the "rest stop".

I've ran the dragon at least 100+ times, and no tail.
