Okay... Here's my problem.

I can connect my PC to the internet through my hub, I can connect my Gamecube to the internet through a hub - But not at the same time.

The connection is used by whichever machine I turn on first - If the GC is turned on first, it gets to use the connection - Same for the PC.

I know that it works through a router, but I'm piss-broke so that's out of the question. I'm using XP Pro and I'm on a non-PPPOE connection.

Any way to let them both use the hub, or can it not share the IP?

Two devices cannot share the same IP address. What you'd need to do is setup a proxy to route your GC through, or you could get a router and setup NAT addressing (if you had the money :/). To do it via proxy, you'd have to have an extra nic card in your comp though, or a spare machine to act as the proxy.

Routers are getting pretty cheap nowdays... and if you can grab an old 486 from a scrap heap that has 16 MB of RAM and a 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive (and of course power, cooling, etc...), you can grab a linux distro that can make that computer into a router... I use one of those, and it works perfectly for me. Of course... then you need two network cards and some more cabling, so unless you can score the stuff for free (or close to free) you might as well scrap the idea. It wasn't too hard to set up the whole thing really -- but if you're not computer savvy, you probably won't want to do this, though the difficulty really depends on what network cards you're using, IMO.
